Formula Firehawk Build Thread
Formula Firehawk Build Thread I figured I would finally get around to documenting the build of my Formula Firehawk.
I bought the car from a member on here in July of 2016 and was very happy with the car and only felt like changing a few things at first. Then the mod bug bit. Car already has full exhaust and was lowered with Koni double adjustables on all 4 corners so it was a good starting point for a build.
So then I decided to get rid of the high rise hatch and install the factory low rise after a repaint of that hatch and give it a nice full detail:

I swapped the silver wheels off the car for a while but I knew in the end I wanted some Fikse FM10's for the car and I found some locally for sale that I snagged up and decided to go with a custom center color with a custom center cap.
I was slowly acquiring parts for a healthy NA 416 combo that consists of:
-K1 crank and rod rotating assembly with Mahle forged pistons
-Johnson link bar short travel slow leak down lifters to handle some serious RPM if it would be needed
-Custom TSP cam spec'ed by Elie at High Performance Consulting the "Mikehawk" cam
-PRC 247's with .700 lift springs that were then sent to Greg Good for a full port and valve job along with a cooling mod to help keep everything in check
-Greg Good Ported Fast 102 with Holley 102mm TB
-80lb DW injectors

The motor then went to SAM tech to get some numbers and break in down on their engine dyno and it was found that the crank reluctor was pressed on incorrectly so the crank is currently back out and waiting on the new reluctor to show up.

Mean looking car, and looks like a solid build. That door looks like a mirror! Be careful of what you reflect.....never know what might show up 
Did you keep all the stock pieces you removed?

It ended up spinning a rod bearing, so SAM is going through it to double check everything.
