We have no issue with Mike, nor do we even know him. Our main issue is with Kevin Franks and his dis-honest actions of bait-and-switch when selling something on the internet.

The photos in his original post displayed very clean-appearing 2003 Corvette parts we were looking for, but when the pallet arrived at DTE, everything was dirty, worn-looking 1998 model-year parts. We informed K.F. of this immediately and we have gotten the run-around and lied to ever since. I doubt we'll ever get our money back and we're probably stuck with this junk, but we wanted to let EVERYONE know that his type of dis-honest behavior has NOT changed so they wouldn't get hosed like we did!!

We're glad some folks found some restitution in their particular matters' and if we have any advice to give you Texans that live fairly close to these crooks, we suggest to stay as far away from these people as you can and NEVER buy anything from them...period!

We're sorry to hear that.

Apparently, this person has been active with his dishonest practices over on the Corvette Forum as well and this hasn't been the first time either... His old screen name was WRK CAR, for which has was banned from the board a while ago for hosing people. Now he has signed on as the name mentioned above and is doing the very same crooked things all-over again!

We've spoken to quite a number of folks we know that are in this high performance industry that live down there in Texas that know this chap and EVERYONE is well-aware of who we were talking about when we mentioned his name... NONE of them will sell anything to him unless it's a cash sale and he seems to be mis-trusted by everyone we spoke to!

Here's the Corvette Forum issues to date:

Beware Texans! (and everyone else for that matter..)

You're right-on and thank you. We probably won't get anything back, but at least he'll always remember who we are, as we are NOT going to take this lying down or give up in the least until something gets done.... He still has a chance to end all this and make it right with a refund, but we're not holding our breath.
