My camaro isn't remotely stock (heads/cam/LT/high flow cats). Will I run into any issues?

Not as long as you leave all of Cali's thinking and voting mindsets out there (our taxes are high enough from our perspective).

The car will be no issue though even in the pain in the rear counties as long as it doesn't have not readys or check engine lights.

I left Cali for the ridiculous political views. It won't be coming with me. It only has the security light on (which sadly won't turn off through hp tuners).

I don't think you will have a problem with emissions if you have a good tune.
If you're out the city limits they might not even test emissions.
Also, at 25yrs old they stop emission testing and only check safety items. You're only 4yrs away and if it's a weekend car you might not be messed with.

I actually left Cali about 2 weeks ago, and am in Oklahoma City residing with my brother. I can't tell enough of you to steer clear of California. I honestly think it will declare bankruptcy soon (the state government). Just way too socialist.

I have a potential job I think I'm getting in Coppell (Fingers crossed). I'll probably live in Fort Worth though, as it is far less expensive.

Frisco is nice... no doubt.... FTW...?? Hmmmmmm….

Dallas is not FTW... and FTW is not Dallas... I am out in California at least 5x per year (Military)… I wouldn't live there, but it is nice to visit in some areas. Otherwise a shithole! I'd rather be back in Afghanistan that Cali....

You'll be fine. I have had many cars over the years that had all that and didn't have any cats at all and still passed inspection. As long as they don't actually look for the cats and you have them tuned out the car will still pass the inspection. Since you do have them you really don't need to worry. You can't have tint too dark, check engine light, or bald tires stuff like that. I'm sure you'll come across an inspector that will hear the cam and be like nahhh but just try someone else if that happens. And that only applies if you register the car in an emissions county. If it's non emissions then you only have to pass safety which is tires, brakes, tint, lights, horn, emergency brake, seat belt, windows and wipers.

But as far as driving on the street the only concern cops will have is how dark the tint looks, how loud the exhaust is, or how you're driving.

No kids. Just myself. The only reason I'm considering living in Fort Worth is I can buy a home there cheap. I'm not independently wealthy. Just trying to get a home within the year for $125k.

I live in Fort Worth and absolutely love it. Downtown FTW is clean and family friendly, the Stock Yards are a fun place to go hang out with the family, north of FTW is BOOMING with housing and business so the housing price is climbing but not like over in Coppell, The Colony, Plano, Flower Mound, Frisco or other. We live just south of Cabela's and the Texas Motor Speedway. I work at Love Field so I commute there daily, the morning drive is nice but the afternoon drive can be tough at times. Depends on if some *** hat tried to play bumper cars with someone else and screwed it up for thousands of people behind him.
Great golf courses all over the place in DFW, drag strips and Churches. We were going to Gracepoint Church over in Coppell before we moved to Fort Worth. Chad is the pastor, great guy!

Don is right though, from Fort Worth to Coppell would be a tough drive unless you left early. But if Texas is now home, you just deal with it, like SoCal. Lived out there for 12 years and had a blast but will probably never go back and I sure as hell wouldn't take my family out there. Lived in Huntington Beach right off of Beach and PCH, that place was a ***** Scramble all the way down to Balboa. Ah the memories!!

Welcome to God's Country, enjoy your stay!!

Chad

Just avoid Dallas. Can't stand it myself. Every time I go to Ft Worth I start looking for a way to move there.

After going through traffic I think I actually prefer Oklahoma. Traffic was every bit as bad as Orange County. I can definitely tell Texas is booming economy wise. I just don’t like the big city atmosphere.

Thank you guys though.

I agree. I've been in traffic in Los Angeles, Culver City, Beverly Hills and everyone here is like OMG the traffic is so bad in California! It's just as bad here..
