Just don't get him going about Chrome Moly versus mild steel AFTER it is too late to do anything about it

Chucp.s. He did mine by the way and I am VERY happy with the work.
Yes he is in arlington which is about 30 miles from my house. Its not the drive but the $$$. How much labor "on average" does it take to get a cage installed.
I just installed a wolfe bolt-in 6pt w/ swing-outs about a week ago. Start to finish took 5-6 hours. Our biggest hold up is that I didn't have power on the car to be able to move the power seats for removal.
The one problem we had with the actual installation was with the front mounts. Everything lined up right, but when we torqued down the bolts, it pulled the entire swing out bars forward about 3/16" driver side and 1/8" passenger side. I had to fabricate some plates to shim up the mount. I would suggest that before drilling the holes for the front mounts, use a Sharpie to outline the plate on the floor, remove the swing-out bar, then move the plate straight back towards the main hoop about 1/8".
I suspect that you wouldn't have the same problem if you were to weld the roll bar in.
Either way, the install is very straight forward. You should get a buddy to help you so you don't bang your car up. If I had to do it all over again, w/ no distractions, It would probably take 3 hours tops.
I think the next one a 10 point will be done by Madman.
