Went to the Autorama today....
There was one 1969 Trans Am that was really nice to see. There were more than plenty of 69' camaro's and plenty of awesome "custom" classic's.
There was one 30th TA and one "collector's" TA and one 35th SS camaro.
And of course there were no "Firehawk's", except a 1997 in the auction bay that looked like a worn out piece of s**t!
Also I saw my first "flat-head" V8. I never knew they existed until my Dad pointed it out to me. It looked a little weird, but cool.
Anyway's I had a good time.
We definately need to get a group out there next year to represent the 4th gen community.
Here are some sample pics and a link to the rest on webshots.

Enjoy,

That 1997 "Firehawk" in the auction was disgusiting. It had painted 16" 5 spooke Camaro wheels and yellow vinyl strips that were all sratched up and peeling... I doubt it was a real Firehawk, probably someone that got sticker happy.
i also found my new favorite color, Candy Brandy-Wine

that 66 Nova right when you came in was my favorite car there. i believe it was called Johnny Rocket. they showed it being built on rides, it was competing for the riddler award, against a bunch of cars including the car in the top picture of this thread (the instigator). the nova is on page 3, images 1920 and 1921 on the photoalbum mentioned above.
i had a great time even though i only bought some wax, tireshine, and a 3/8" impact swivel socket
. i was there from about 11am to about 5 pm and diddnt sit down a single time. when we first got there we went straight to the swap meet section before everything got bought up. i found a new set of camaro headlights and got really excited, the guy must have saw me because he said he wanted 200 bux a piece for them lol, he diddnt get any business from me

The owner of the car stated that everything was original, he looked like he may have been as old as the car; probably kept it in his garage for many, many years.
I think the highest bid was 85k, and the owner decided not to sell.
Overall, the show was really nice, kinda made me wanna go get an old classic and customize it out.

I still wouldn't mind owning one
I used to show my truck in it (for about 5 yrs), and had placed from 1st to 4th in class.
The folks who I know that went said the show was small. It has been getting smaller every year for the last few years. Wish there was a way to get it back on track. It used to be a premier show.
