Thumbs down nono

I went this weekend and it sucked. When i got there the only thing that i saw was 2 Pasadena Officer in the parking lot on watch. I talked to some Guys on bikes and they told me that the Pasadena cops rolled in and rolled every one out of the parking lot. The pasadena cops were telling everyone ( and me) that if we did not get out of the parking lot that they would charge us with "Criminal Trespassing".

I think that every one should consider a different spot to chill. Some were we can just go and hang out and not worry about an up tight MAN OF THE LAW!

That was the first time i went. it reminded me of the crowd that shows up at the Best Buy at Hwy 6 and Westhimer, high school kids doing burn outs and anytyhing else that you would expect that would get the attention of the police.

i'll give it one more try

Well went around 10:00 on Saturday we were there maybe 10 miutes and it rained so we left I think it dried up a little later but I was not going back this weekend. There were quite a few cars and truck out there it was a mixed crowd a little of every thing. I am telling you if they keep doing burnouts etc we will not be there long that is for sure. We've been kick out of this spot once, so let just be cool. A burn out doesn't mean **** my stock truck can do one, but it is slow and it doesn't make you look cool either.

This happens at every spot. That's why I rarely ever go out to any "street meets".
If I want to watch a bunch of teenagers act like fucktards, I'll turn on MTV.

well i hadn't been up there before and was banking on it being a mature crowd. Ottos is about the only thing on this side of town and it's nice to go some where else for a change.

i can't remember if Miami Subs from 95 to when ever they ran off everyone was as wack as the meets today. i remember that being cool to goto, lots of nice cars just don't remember the idiots for some reason.

and i know told my brother the same thing about MTV and the car meets

I know how you feel. I wasn't taking a shot at you or anything. I was just expressing my disgust w/ the modern day car gatherings. Miami Subs, like most other meets, started out really good, but turned into Gangsta Land. It just didn't transform as quickly as the meets of today.
A couple of years before Miami Subs got hot, the place to go was just West of Hwy 6 on Westheimer...across from the mall in what is now some sort of storage building strip center. It used to be a vacant strip center. The cops ran us off from there...not because stupid **** was going on in the parking lot (like now days), but because we were actually "racing". It wasn't just a bunch of young stupid punks talking ****, drinking, and doing donuts. (There was a little of that, but not near as much of it as there is today.) Come to think of it, there wasn't enough room in that parking lot to do donuts. It was too packed w/ American muscle like, fox bodied stangs, irocs, LT1 f-bodies, every 60's muscle car you could think of, GN's, Typhoons, Syclones. The only thing even close to rice was a few very pimp RX7 turbos, turbo supras, twin turbo stealths/3000gts and 300zx twin turbos.

The BBQ thing sounds good in theory, but what park is open at 10:30 at night etc I don't know of any. I think we are just going to have to keep trying and hope we can keep the bullshit down to nothing.
