Well the Camaro is back again after completing another project and is ready to under the knife. Building a tube chassis, 3 link, mild ls1, and a big list of everything else.
Here is the project that set me back 4 months from working on the camaro. It's a sandrail with a stock rebuilt 350/th350, 8.5" LSD rear (untill it breaks), 31" boggers, s10 spindles/brakes and on and on... My friend founded it, i taught him how to weld/fabricate and he bought me a tubing bender and some other **** for my labor. He and I built everything except the trans. Chassis, motor, fuel cell, everything else was built in my garage.

Well I finally got around to getting some work done on it. Ill finish welding up the rear rails once my tires get here so i can get them spaced properly. Also anyone have an old LS1 oil pan they want to give away? doesnt matter what it's from I just need it for a baseline for mockup. Also need a T-56 for mockup if anyone has one they'd let go for cheap.

Finally 6 months later it's starting to come together. Wheels are 18x12.5" CCW classics with 335/30/18 Michelin pilot sports (wanted G-force ta's but they werent out yet) Rearend is a Strange 9" hopefully ill start getting more work done on it now that i have modivation and some parts lol.
Let me know what you think
Mocked up at 5" ride height and I currently only have the rear wheels. so that wheel on the front in some of the pics is actually the drivers side rear.

That looks ****** INSANE!!!
I ended up selling my '71 project last year...it was a rust free TX car that hadn't been registered since something like '84.
...I have since come to terms with the fact I would never have had the time/money/expertise to build it right. I still regret the sale tho.
Keep up the good work!

Looking DAMN good Zac, Like I said...I cant wait to see that thing fininshed. I agree that it should be 1 1/2 to 2 inches higher, but I know that it's a mock up what are YOU thinking on the ride height?

Thanks for the comments
Sorry I missed your post osvaldo: I paid 3000 for the complete car with a built 327/th400 and brand new interior. And so far I have about $150 in the chasis.
_zac - if all goes well it'l be at g-force for a tune sometime this year.

saw the post and I'm in the midwest but it looks nice! Looks like you have wheels and tires that cost almost as much as you have in the car itself! Ill be checking back in about a year

Well at the time the price was about average. That was 3 years ago when a co-worker saw it in the backyard of a guy in channelview. I went and checked it out the same day and drug it home.
thanks minty, yea the wheels/tires werent cheap but hell ive been saving for this thing since I was 9, almost 10 years, and im building my dream car. So might as well not skimp out now lol
