Hey what was his real name? I only know him as Dan here on the board...What part of DFW were you guys from? We are the same age, and I use to spend my summers up there.

after reading this I went back to the thread he started. something more had to of happened for him to flip like that. I am really sorry to hear this, especially during this holiday season. I will keep his family in my prayers.

Brian, I am speechless... I am very sorry to hear about this and will be praying for you and his family. Like others have said he was a very nice guy and I had a good time talking to him the times we were around each other and had fun with the races we had...

I also don't know this guy but I read that other thread and it seems he had better days. My prayers are with him and his family, and with yours *****. God bless you all to give you the strength you need this holiday season to cope with this.

BURLESON -- A 20-year-old woman was wounded by an ex-boyfriend who then fatally shot himself after falling from a second-story window Wednesday, police reported. The dead man was identified as Daniel Carlson, 26, and the woman as Jennifer Burkhart, police Sgt. Cindy Aaron said. A police news release stated that Burkhart was in good condition at Harris Methodist Fort Worth hospital; hospital personnel later declined to give a condition report. Witnesses told police that Carlson forced his way into a second-floor apartment in the 400 block of S.W. Gordon Street and shot the woman. Carlson and a man who lived in the apartment began struggling for Carlson's .22-caliber revolver, Aaron said. During the struggle, Carlson fell from a window and evidently shot himself in the head, Aaron said. Police who were called just after 1 a.m. found Carlson dead outside the apartment.

Yeah, I called a Burleson police sgt yesterday that I know to get the full story but I didn't want to be the one to tell everyone on the forums. It's crazy...

Yea he was a nice guy and no one expected that from him, very cool, calm collective guy. Very sad for his family and friends and for her family and friends due to these events. I knew of the story yesterday, very very surprised when I found out. He was still a great guy, just sad things ended up this way for him and her. Glad to her she is going to be OK.
