I'll be going to HRP Friday to track-test my wife's 2000 Mustang GT. It has a new engine in it thanks to a spun rod bearing in the last motor and Ford being kind enough to replace under warranty. With the last motor, it ran a 13.55@103. That was the only pass it's even run down the track, as HRP got too busy later that night and we just hadn't had time to go back.

I'm hoping to get the times down some. We went to MTI and dyno'd the car Monday. With 20 degree higher temperatures, we picked up 3 more horsepower from the old motor. It's putting down 258rwhp and 292rwtq. Not bad, but no comparison to my Trans Am. But, it's her car and it sounds great (full Bassani system - headers, x-pipe, catback).

We have a Reddish-Orange GT (same color as the Cobra R that year). If you see us, stop and say hello!! I'm Brian and my wife's name is Terri.

Hope to see you all there!!

Brian

Well, if you want to find out about some "slow" LS1's, lets set something up. Please take it easy on me at the tree though, since I heard you cut a pretty good light. I'm prone to falling asleep at the tree, so I need all of the help I can get out of the hole.

I'd be interested in running you this Friday. Lemme know!
Yes that is me.

This is the thanks I get for helping you push your car off the track when you broke. I'll run you. I'm not scared. I'll probably lose though. No biggie.

I'd go out at HRP but already have plans. Maybe I'll get to come play next time.

Nope, I just see him out at Fairmont. Not a bad looking coupe, I like the color Does need some work though when you get up close to it, but that is a great car to get and hold on too.

I can't decide where to go.....guess I'll know more as the week progresses. Maybe I can talk my buddy into hauling my car out to HRP if I pay his way in & put some diesel in his truck (Gary)

I wish you would have told me who you were when you helped me push the car at HRP. I had no idea.

I was just giving you a little return smack talkin after your post in the "smackdown" forum a while back. Look for me on Friday night at HRP and we'll run 'em for kicks.

To everyone else, just show up and run. As long as no money is involved what do you have to loose. Its all in fun.
Sorry, Dad has to work this weekend. I am sure Dad would let ya make a pass right after I do.

I am just dieing to try out my car. Madman and I have made a few changes that might just get my car into the 10.20's dragging the bumper.

Will do. By the way, I was prompted to post that thread by 9ball. Just trying to light a fire under the "lightly" modded LS1's to get them out to HMP.

Unhappy

I'm planning on heading to HRP friday. One problem though... I left my helmet in Austin. Does anyone have an extra I can borrow? I'm gonna run by MTI tomorrow and see if Jayson has one I can borrow.

Well, I can't race this week since I'm in Europe right now. But, I'll save a re-match for you Matt, since your rearend busted on our last line up.

I'll take ya up on that, but it might have to be an 1/8th mile race though. Kinda tough to compete with a blower car in a 1/4 mile race. You'd probably turn me sideways when you came by me in a 1/4 mile race.

As of now its 20 to 5 in favor of HRP. So it looks like most everyone is going to HRP. The only thing is, no one has officially set up any races yet. I haven't seen any of the Strictly guys post up. Lets get some races going! I'll be in an '01 white Z28. Come up and introduce yourself and maybe we can line 'em up.
