I DID IT!!!!
I JUMPED SHIP!!! NO MORE MUSTANGS!!!
I just bought a black on black '01 Z06 last Saturday!!!
The dealer was nice enough to fill up the tank with "regular" unleaded!!
I didnt know this until I got in a race with a Honda civic w/ a turbo and she started clattering like a whinny bitch! I didnt have the car 30 minutes and I got spanked! Someone said the video was posted up here somewhere??
They said it was some guy named "Tran"? White or light green car with carbon fiber hood. That is the first and last time I will get beat by a ricer.
But I have made up for it already, with an '04 Cobra kill and a modded Lightning kill.
Plus I have a few nice go fast parts in my garage waiting to be put on.
I wish I could have stayed longer at the Hooters Hulen GTG, but I had to work. I met a nice guy with a black LT1 T/A, and a guy with a black GT.
I cant wait to beat my old best of 6.80 with my GT.

Congrats, and welcome to Z06 ownership. People who have never driven one don't understand that your old car can't hold a candle to the Z06 as far as handling and braking goes. A true sports car does more than just go fast in a straight line well. The Z06 will outperform a lot of cars that cost 2 to 3 times more on a race track, and I don't mean 1/4 mile. *roll eyes* That's one of the greatest things about driving the Z06, it feels like it is velcroed to the road. And it's no slouch in acceleration.
