Depeneds a lot on the gearing and what your willing to tolerate, you could get away with it on the 3.23s or 3.42s, but if you do a ton of freeway driving for long distances its going to drink some gas. Its nothing terrible, just no over drive. Plenty of people do it, just what your willing to tolerate. If my trans goes in my TA, I think I'll go the Th350 route since I have a daily driver.

I have one. Let's just say that you wont be driving in the left lane as often. I used to cruise 80 on the beltway. Now it is more like 65. At 65 I am at about 3200 rpm. th350 and 3:73's

My roomate has a th350 in his 99 SS he has 3.42 gears it does good on the hwy. It seems to me the 200-r4 would be a good choice but they are pricey. He gets 28mpg on the hwy and runs like 70MPH at 3200.

28mpg?? haha. stock 4L60Es don't get that good of gas mileage on the highway.
