Defensive driving question

How often can you take defensive driving in texas for a ticket dismissal?

once a year unless granted permission by the judge.

every once in awhile the judge will let you do it again.

I think its once every two years. But you can ask to speak to the judge in the district or county that you got the tikcet and only they can make an exception

once a year from the date the ticket is issued, not the date of which you took defensive driving the first time

i've done it twice already!

they're right, definitely once a year, seeing that i've used up my one every year for the last 5 years...... some counties offer deferred judication, ask the clerk or judge.....how it usually works, you pay the full price of the ticket, and then go on probation for a certain amnount of time. and if you don't get any more tickets in that time, then the ticket is removed from your record.....its good if you've taken defensive driving already, and doesn't make your insurance go up any.

I've done it twice so far too, at about 1.5 yrs apart iirc... Took the class at a comedy place the first time, wasn't too bad except for wasting a whole dang Saturday. Took it online the second time, that was nice, do it in bits and pieces in spare time during the day over the course of about two weeks.

i did it online and it was easy to do whenever i felt like it...just start earlier and do a little everyday and you will finsih in 2 weeks with pleanty of time to spare

i know it is once a year, but i am not sure if it is from date of completion or ticket?

My friend told me if you tell the judge you havent taken it within the time, and ask to take it, he should let you.

or as i like to say....once every year ......per city.....per county...etc,etc...A few years ago a friend of mine**cough** took it for deer park, laporte ,pasadena, harris county, and houston all in the same year...**cough**
