Default Job Opening!!

Hey guys/gals...

The supervisor here @ work, has just came in and told us that they are looking to hire someone that is interested in traveling, and doing field walkdowns. Someone who is just out of school is prefered so they can be trained.

I work for an Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Company in Houston. (610 & 59).
Most if not all walkdowns will be in plants, and there is work needed to be done all over the country, and occasionaly theres oversea's work avaliable.
I have a degree in Graphics Engineering and Design, and a few of us are not able to take on this role due to school.
Locals prefered.
If you think you may be interested please PM me.

Brandon

I have no idea what the pay would be, depends on how much you'd travel, and your experience.

It would consist of going out into plants, and walking down pipe, and sketching what is out there in the field. Safety Relief systems, and PID walkdowns.

I have P&ID walkdown experience, and I also have drawn a ton of them, however I'm not really into a lot of traveling.

I have a 1 year old daughter, and it's hard enougt to be away from her for 10 hours a day. If I didn't have a child, I'd love that kind of work.

I have no idea as to what the pay would be.... I dont think they are allowed to discuss that with Employee's.

Modsquad: Email me your Resume, and I guess you will just have to see what they say if/when they call you. bl.auer@berwanger.com

The travel time varies per project. You could be out anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. The project I am curently on is for 2 weeks in Huntington, West Virginia. Though very rare, my longest time out was 3 months in Philly. DAMN I miss those cheese steak sandwiches!!
Pay is based on experience and willingness to travel. You'll probably go out on a couple projects with somone else to check how you are doing, then you should be able to go out on your own no problem.

Is there someone I could talk to for more information on this? I don't see the point in sending a resume if they are way off my current income level. If I had a salary range for this position it would answer my biggest question
