Whats wrong with my car!! I just installed a new cam, crank pulley, larger alternator pulley about 2 days ago I understand that a cars idle will be rougher than normal for about 100 to 200 miles until the cam learns itself, but is it supposed to turn off on you? 
My car is turning off whenever the gas is not pressed down, even when I'm on the expressway and I put it in neutral the car seems to die. I just got a brand new (red) optima battery and it still seems to die when I'm at a complete stop, while driving and the car is in neutral, or whenever I'm not pressing on the gas. 
Any suggestions?

Has the car been tuned?? I'm guessing not. Did you drill the hole in the throttle body blade bigger?? There are alot of reasons the car will not hold an idle, but the t.b. trick usually takes car of it. If you have not drilled the t.b. blade use a 13/16's drill bit to perform the task and chamfer it with a 1/4 drill bit.

Yeah, you need a tune because with out it, you car won't idle worth a crap, on or off the throttle. A tune will take care of the low rpm air intake to keep your car alive and well.

The cam will not learn itself into idleing better. You definately need to get a full tune on your car if you want to drive it around regularly.
Mine used to shut down after a WOT run when I was hitting the brakes. It really sucked, but runs just fine now after the tune. Tuning is crucial to get your car running right. Thread Starter

Well i have the predator and i advanced the spark +1 and the power enrichment +2 and at least now it idles by itself. I am going to get it tuned by a professional in a week or two. Anyone have any suggestions on the tuning??
