Default C5 Or Zo6 Vettes

Thinking Of Trading In My T/a For A Vette. I Haven't Decided Yet But Want To Start Looking At Some Vettes. Has Anyone Seen Any Good Deals On Low Mileage (40,000 And Below Miles) Vettes In The Houston Area?

Yeah there are some real good deals right now on c5's since the c6's are out now. If you look around you can find real good deals on just about any c5 and Z06 out there-there are a few i ahve seen that are kinda high IMO.

Yeah I Figured There Pricing Would Start To Go Down With The Introduction Of The C6. I Guess I'll Have To Just Get Out There And Start Looking. Do You Happen To Remember What Dealerships You Saw The Good Deals At?

if you want a deal, go to Corvetteforum.com or Z06vette.com. there are good deals to be had in there classified section.

You have to decide if you want to sell yoru car or trade it in, the only benifit of trade in is the tax savings, but theyget you on trade in value. If I was going to trade a car in I would go to car max they will give you the most for your trade. If not sell it out right here on the board.

Then find a vette, it is better to buy now before spring is here. I personally think the vettes are far as price and I think the prices are starting to level off. But don't wait any longer just get rid of the TA and go for the vette hands down you will like the vette better IMO.

If only I had that kind of money. I wish I could keep it cause I like my car but I've had it a while and I am in love with the ls6 Z06's.

I wanted mine before I drove it...LOL! I was driving a C5 coupe at the time.
I could never go back to a F-body now. I know many people who say the same after experiencing both.

That's why I never went & test drove one....I had the bug to get one but I'll hold out. I needed something more daily driver friendly. The Duramax Dually is footing the bill quite nicely. I can now roll 5 deep to lunch or where ever, have plenty of room & have something to haul cars & parts with....not to mention I could haul some hot shots for extra mod money I'll get a Vette...I just need to get back to school....plus I don't want to start all over on another car. I just broke 10's with the TA & I know I've got a good bit left to extract from her

Once you go Vette, you'll never regret.

Yeah, two minutes in my Z06, and I was hooked. Had to have it. Absolutely night and day difference from my heavily modified Trans Am. I'll never go back to an F-body (unless I'm building an all-out dragster).

Also check out DigitalCorvettes.com. I hang out there, too. You have to register, but I have seen some awesome deals on used, low-mile Z06's.

man I have been looking at prices on both these cars and the prices fluctuate so much. I have seen a Z06 with 17,000 miles only asking $31,000 but I have also seen a C5 with 30,000 miles asking $39,000.

Some people just want to sell there car, and you will see differnce in used car prices also due to location and availablty.

What year was the Z06 I would think a 02 with 17K for 31,000 is cheap.

But you have to remember also, looking at internet prices are different than looking in the paper, if I was going to sell my car, I would put it in the paper, would get more money. A lot of people don't look on the net for used cars and if they do, they look at auto trader, and most of those cars are priced more than what you will find on a forum, at least what I have noticed

Yeah alot of times if you look in the paper its going to be a lil higher. Auto trader isnt to bad but some of those cars in there are way overpriced IMO.

A co-worker just picked up a 02 Black Z06 for $34,200 with 7k miles on it....he flew up to Atlanta & drove it back this past weekend. He LOVES it....his other car is his 5.0 hatch that gutted with a drag setup...it runs 11.0hzzz last times I heard...maybe some high 10's. The Zoh is his daily though & he's scared to mod it.

The Z06 was a 2001 model. I was thinking it was an 02 but I have been looking at so many cars that they have all blended together in my memory. I'll just have to wait till I have more time to really start looking.

I owned a 98 C5....I loved my car, got an awesome deal on it (19K for a 40K mile car) it was an A4 and all i had done to it was !cats, Loudmouth and vararam intake. Some other small **** as well. It ran consistent 12.95-13.0. all day long.
It was my DD until it was stolen and totaled on beltway 8 right past 45 going towards westheimer from pasadena.
***********.
It was all good though, even though i could not find another C5 for such a good deal, i only owed $15k on it and insurance gave me $25k.
Which leads me to my 2002 Z28 that i have now.I would never attempt to take my Z up to 178 MPH on i45 tween Htown and Dallas, but it is alot more fun ,IMO, to drive.
If i had the chance to get a Z06 and mod it instead of my Z ,**** yeah i would.
Buy a vette, you won't be disappointed, for sure.It is like night and day as far as handling goes.
