Default 1g or 2g RX7

I've been playing around with the idea of getting an RX7 as a Daliy Driver. But im also looking for a car i can dual purpose and put into the Spec RX7 SCCA class as well.

Would appreciate your opinions/advice.

Thank You

2Gs are nice and look a ton better than a 1G for sure

AGRV8D,
3Gs are expensive cars.

A buddy had a 2g back in high school. It was a real POS.

Maybe it was just his luck.

rx7s are nice cars but they are extremely un relaible. The Rotary engines will take the abuse as far as rpms but unfortunalty the seals burn very quickly and causes problems internally. There is a place in Houston that works on nothing but RX7s and that would be the best thing to look into as far as the up keep on one. If you are looking for one for strickley a track car and a non daily driver then it wouldn't be that bad of a choice.

Parts are pretty expensive depending on what year model you get and once the seals go out you pretty much have to replace the motor from what i have been told.

3g looks KIND of like a vette from the front. Get that one.
