Yeah, what he said. I would also consider seeing if the news paper or the local news would like to do one of their nasty stories on cops families getting special treatment from the law. Also, sue them for anything the insurance doesn't cover, like loss of equity in the truck & or modifications.

What the hell happened to kids going to juvie like they did back when we were younger?

I say get a sling shot & some broken spark plug ceremic chunks & do a drive by & take out some auto glass at their house.

I vote for talking some other 16 year old guys into beating his butt and teaching him a lesson and some manners.

I'd sue his parents for damages, deductible, and a rental. If they are minors, the parents are held liable. Who gives a **** if his Dad is a cop. I'd be calling the Friendswood Journal and the Houston Chronicle to stir up a story. Maybe even the local news stations.

I don't think I'd be happy with someone else beating his ***.

But, since his father's a cop I'd find a judge or like Cy said, a reporter

How did they steal it (i.e., column lock or did they hot wire it)?
Was it from your house?

That sucks that Friendswood PD isnt helping you, have you talked to Galveston or Harris County Sheriff yet?

Good luck!

only God can judge. justice is always served in the end. and everything also happens for a reason. maybe something was destined to happen to that truck or maybe you'll be better off with the next. i'm sorry to hear about your loss, but just be thankful that everyone is alright.

If they can't do anything leagaly maybe you can go after his parents for damages by filing a civil suit as they are responsible for his actions and that would modivate them to do something about it. By the way the insurance should let you get your stuff off the truck motor etc... as long as you have something to put back on it and I think the motor is still at G-Force I saw it there the other day. You can atleast get that out of it. They can't pick it up until you release it to them and I wouldn't do that until I had all my parts off that they aren't going to pay you for. Good luck I went though this a few years ago in 02 so if you want some advice on how to handle the insurace co. Give me a call or drop me an email.

That sucks man, I hate to hear that. Good ole Friendswood. Gotta love the politics that go on there. I guess, I'd just continue to try the cops. Probably not going to do much good, but what else do you have? You're right if you take to street justice, your *** will be in jail before you get home.
