The best shop on the northside is HPE. Icon is highly recommend by me also though they are a little south.

I agree. It is a nice accomplishment to do it yourself, but EZ! NO WAY!! It might be easy if you have 2 brother-in-laws one of which has only one leg and both have been drinking all day . That was my situation. It was definately a challenge. If a shop can do it for the right price than I say go for it. But my guess is that it's going to be on the high side, therefore do it yourself. And enlist as many of your friends as you can. Keep the on the down low or it will take you 22 hours like it did me!

If you are able to get your car high enough off of the ground you can install it yourself.
It's just trying to get it high enough to slide the lt's in.

This must have been your first time installing them if it took that long.. no offense. It took me over 12 hours my first time.. I did it on the showroom floor of 3-D Performance..LOL. It doesnt take anywhere near that long now.. Just depends on which header it is, as to which methods you need to use to get them in.

If you're looking for quality work AND reasonable price, I highly recommend either G-Force or Icon depening on how close you are to either place.

Another vote for Speed Demon if you're on the North side.

make sure you take off the
steering knuckle(driver side)
all spark plugs(might as well put in NGK's while you are at it)
Starter(passenger side)

Pretty much what i learned when i did it.Took me and 1 friend about 8 hours to do it. Take your time, do not get frustrated.Print out the instructions from LS1Howto.com or somewhere so you have a general idea of what you are doing. The three things i mentioned above are the most important along with proper ground clearance.Oh yeah, go get a 10mm ratchet wrench, it will become your best friend.
