Just heard about this yesterday, meant to post about it last night but got distracted... thought I'd go ahead anyhow in case anyone is interested even on such short notice. I'll probably go to take a look around.

Should be good weather today: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/forecas...71&city=Winnie

I'm not familiar with that one... looks like it is on the same day, and they're donating their proceeds too, but it's to a different thing (the Star of Hope Mission and the Rainbow Room of Ft. Bend County). http://www.corvetteownersclubhouston...rShowFlyer.jpg

Wellll, unfortunately it looks like this event was not promoted very well. Only around a couple dozen vehicles were there - including the car-show participants, the audio-competition participants, the spectators, and the people there for a horseshoes-tossing contest. Spent more time driving there than how long it took to see everything once I got there. They did have trophies for the winners, and there was a Cobra, a Nova, and a classic hot-rod there, but nothing else of much interest. Oh well.

(Edit: I did see a red van/trailer hauling some kind of NHRA Dodge racecar on the highway, though! )
