I'm just not understanding why they say the bottle was fueling the fire. It's strictly air coming from the bottle at that time. If the fuel wasn't shut off and was still being pumped then it's another story, but they speak of an explosion happening... Even the bottle getting too much pressure in it would make the rupture disk pop and blow off the pressure before the bottle went.

???

Didnt he wire around his window switch and his car stumbled and got back into the throttle after his car stumbled and sprayed below 3k RPMS????

The bottle help the fire. It added lots of oxygen to a fuel. Fuel could be anything that can be caught on fire. Has nothing to do with bottle pressure. When the intake exploded it probably ruptured the nitrous line, spraying the oxygen everywhere and the fire just fed off of it. If he would of turned the bottle off it wasn't of been as bad of a fire. The bottle never exploded.

My impression after reading the thread was that he apaprently neglected to install a window switch.

But this isn't the first incident of Nitrous blow-ups I've heard. Both Angus and Jet have blown motors on nitrous. And seeing this on a Z06 just makes me sick. Won't happen to me!

it was all his fault really because he DID not run his window switch..

so basically he was spraying, the car bogged down and it all started to puddle in the intake.. and then BOOM, after it was ignited, it was game over for the vette..

ALL the OWNERS fault..

if you run nitrous properly **** like that will not happen
