What kind of charge is it? Misdemeanor im sure, probably a class B. If thats the case most likely 1 year probation.

Texas House Bill 1326 passed in 01. The law automatically suspends for one year the driver license of anyone convicted of illegally racing on a public roadway. This prohibition includes participation is a vehicle speed competition or contest, a drag race or acceleration contest, and a test of physical endurance of the operator of a vehicle. Before a driver’s license can be reinstated, the driver would have to complete at least 10 hours of community service. An offense under this law is a state jail felony if it is shown on the trial of the offense that the person has previously been convicted two times of a similar offense.

Say bye to your license for a year if you are convicted.

Best case scanario is you spend a couple grand on a lawyer and beat it (doubtful). Get a lawyer, and more than likely you will be able to plea bargain and get 6-12 months probation. You might even save your license if you accept a plea.

I heard the same thing ........ i heard he beat you and you had him when he was in 2nd, and as soon as he hit 3rd he flew by you and you couldnt keep up....... I know the vette and Charlie..... **** i helped put the LT's and Cam in at my house..... He didnt call you out either...... you walked over to him..... he walked back to your car.... you went flying down saratoga like an idiot while the cops sat at Utopia's and called your dumb *** in...... then you went out and raced and he saw were you went and sent two units after you and 2 more units over to kick us out of the parking lot..... so YOU ruined all of our night....... Thanks man...... The reason we moved up to the new Kohls was to get away from the ricers, burnouts, and all the cars racing in front of the hang out spot........ I learned along time ago.... **** the last time i raced on the street it cost me $6k...............
Good luck in court and get a lawyer..... next time your out ask some of the local guys who have got caught what happened to them.......
PS this was linked from the local board.....

[QUOTE=regorih is gay =)]so you beat a z06 with a cam in your cam-only z28....
[QUOTE]

Yeah, that sounds wrong. A cam/exhaust Z06 should be putting out close to what your car is or more depending on the cam. And your car weighs about 500 lbs more and the Z06 is geared lower. So all odds are in favor of the Z06 unless the driver doesn't know what he's doing. ???

Get an attorney. Miranda warning is not going to affect this case. Get the best attorney you can afford or ask some people in that area, who have been caught, who they used... You should be able to plea it down to a class C

charlie puts down roughly 425 rwhp and i put down roughly 420, i did get the jump on him all the way till the end of 3rd, the he started to slowly walk up my door until around 130ish where i shut down, i have it on tape too(carefully hidden in the passengers pants after we were pulled over......) and yes he did ask me if i wanted to run them, i did walk over to his car when he pulled up to say whats up and to see if he had gotten it tuned yet. then he came over to my car since the last time he saw it/beat me badly, it was stock. my car is lightened a bit and i have 4.10's as well.
