might be getting a 01 ss Guys i might be getting a 01 ss hardtop a4 by next week the only question i have is what is some stuff to look at before purchaseing the car! Also did the 01 ss come w/ a z06 intake manifold? Also did some camaro and t/a's come w/ the ls6 block?

Something to look for? Run a Carfax on the VIN# before anything, and run it yourself don't let a car dealership do it for you. Also if it's a real SS it should have SLP stickers on both doors on the inside. The passenger's side will state the SLP options, if any.
Yes the 01-02 has the LS6 (ZO6) intake. There was only a few cars in 01-02 that came with the ZO6 blocks, and the ZO6 block does nothing for you. Would would matter is if the blocks also came with the ZO6 cam and LS6 heads, but they never did.

If it's an A4 SS, it has 3.23's. The Z28's came with 2.73's with an option for 3.23's, but the 3.23's are standard for SS's.

went and looked at the car it 's in perfect condition has black cloth interior and even has sub frame connectors as well as new tires and brakes
