Drove the car tonight!!!
I decided to take the car out for a spin since we finally finished up the turbo install. The tuning isn't quite right so we still have a few minor issues to work out. I decided to drive up to HPE. On the way, everything was fine until a few blocks from the shop the car started to stumble and the A/F showed really lean. I managed to get it into the parking lot of HPE and the car stalled and wouldn't restart. The guys all came out to have a nice laugh at my hoopty, but the car did start again I had a really fun time tonight and the car made it home so I'm happy! Now we just have to work on the tune. The car started surging really bad on the way home and this cop next to me was giving me some really funny looks at the stop light. However, the car RUNS! YIPEEE!!!

Right now we have the boost controller set to only allow 5 psi. The turbo spools extemely fast so 5 comes up pretty fast. Once the car is tuned we will continue stepping it up.
Tony -- Brian and I are leaving Wed. afternoon. Call us once you get there and we will meet up.
xaon -- I have to admit that I was extremely nervous driving that car back home. Although, it seemed to do really well. There were a few times that it wanted to stall, but I caught it before it did. Thanks for offering up the trailor though. That is really cool of you! It was definately nice seeing you and the rest of gang again. It has been so long since I have been outside of the garage... it was a nice change of scenery I could have sat there all night drooling over that car!
Mike -- I really appreciate the offer. I will let Brian know. We have the Megasquirt computer in the car and he says that it is very easy to tune (especially with the wideband). He has a pretty long history of tuning, so I am confident that he will get er done! Those things just take time.

Tuning is just time spent, the MegaSquirt makes it REALLY easy. Gotta love real-time tuning I'd like to put it on a Mustang dyno to condense the time, since tuning on the street is a little more difficult So far we have about 30-40 minutes of tuning time on the car, TOTAL.
