help..Whats wrong with my Z06?? i let a freind of mine borrow the Z06 last night and now 6th gear is gone..the gear box is very notchy and i have a hard time getting into all the gears..i can get into 6th, but the rmp just goes up as i give it gas..(like a slipping cluthc, but all the lower gears are OK)..
also the 1st to 4th light doesnt work and that im not forced into 4th from first anymore..
i think my freind was kinda drunk and was forcing into 2nd from first under slow acceleration and fucked something up..
any sugesstion?? and thanks in advance..

wow, if i owned a Z06, there's no way in ******* HELL i'd let someone drunk (friend or not) drive it. i'd have a hard time letting anyone drive it anyway, especially with me not being there at the time.....
i do think it's time to tell your friend to fess up to what he did to screw it up

It dosen`t pop out of 6th when you disengage the clutch dose it? But the notchy feeling sounds like syncros and or bent shift forks. See if he will confess to speed shifting the car and missing gears or grinding them. If he tried to shift without the clutch "properly" disengauged he most likley bent some forks and grinded some syncros.

the transmission will need to be pulled apart and look for bent shift forks and destroyed shift fork buskings, or find a salvage yard that deals in newer vettes and get a transmission out of one of those. also, the clutch disc may be warped. this sucks, noway around that.
regardless of what's wrong, it's time to collect some cash or an ***-whooping....

Sounds familiar Duy, we broke tranny in the G-Force shop vette @ the track Friday. The problem was due to speed shifting it. The car got jammed in fourth, Jay had to kick the shifter to get it out of gear, first through fourth is gone. It won't go into 5th or 6th.

It should be still under warrenty (03 right/Stock?) If so go take it to the dealer, get it fixed under warrenty. And let us know what the problem was bro.

****..this ******* suckssssss..i have kept this car stock for fear that something will break and i let someone use it one night and its broken...Now i got three cars with broken trannies at the same time..my supra, my nissan 240, and now the Z06...
this guy works for me so when i find out how much its going to cost me to fix it, im just going to have to deduct it out of his paycheck..
