Bel 985 here... works great, the only time I have gotten a ticket is when I was instant-on'd.

That's what I'm saying. I would have pulled him over too. Imagine the headlines if they catch a member of Al-Queda like that.

Valentine One has never failed us. Picks signals up around bends, over hills, etc. A good investment if you have a lead foot all the time.

valentine one saved my *** last night. Me and another Vette was crusing around 120-140 on the way home and it beeped just once. 200 yards later a DPS officer was sitting in the ditch. We both had one and when it beeped it was a race to slow down. I LOVE MY V1.

With the changes in technology now the popo can place the unit on hold until he sees you and by the time you hear anything its to late. Then when he walks up to the car and sees it your hear something like i guess u have that thing because you speed all the time, oh yeah sign hear......

Well, when he uses the "instant on" function on a car ahead of you, then itll set your detector off and hopefully give you time to slow your speed before he gets you. All the good detectors today are really sensitive. ive picked cops up well beyond a mile (line of sight) before.

And actually most police i see are actually driving around with it on constantly, instead of using the instant on "POP mode".

So, its MY experience with years of driving both with and without, that they are definitely beneficial and well worth the money.

BTW-i use a Bel Vector 965 and 940

which is probably a good thing, considering that scrambling radar is illegal (way more serious than speeding), and if you get caught scrambling radar, you're screwed.....

laser, on the other hand, is still legal (as of the last i've heard on the matter)
