Holy smokes! Visability was like 3 feet an hour ago! Does it do this on a regular basis down here? I was for sure a few streets would be flooded out...Any of you guys expirience any difficulties where you're at?

I've been here for just under three months now, and yep - when it rains it pours. Guess what they say is true - everything's bigger in Texas!!

I'm just glad I don't have to be anywhere but at my house. Driving in this weather sucks badly unless you have a lifted truck.

The lightning show is pretty awesome right now!!

Sometimes there is just no happy medium -- either it's hot and dry as hell, or it's hot, humid and wet as hell!

We were at a friend's house for a BBQ/birthday party all day today, and when the weather turned ugly, we just moved into the house and continued the fun inside!

And with the forecast calling for rain every day this week, my tan is going to fade away quickly.

WOW! Did the city just shut down back in the summer of 2001?

This one time.....I just got my truck and was driving to the airport to do some business. It was pouring and I was in the far right lane, I saw some standing water and just went for it. The truck sent water like 15' in the air, I was so involved with that that I missed something happening on the ground. I quickly looked down and saw this bum make a ditch effort to avoid my wall of water with his shopping cart. He didn't make it.

Kinda. My uncle had to use a canoe to get to safety. I had to help my uncle clean his place out for three weeks, Budweiser started canning water instead of beer and sent them out with the national guard. At the time I was 18, so cops would roll up and have to check what was in our cans. Other than the most disgusting smells I've never had to deal with in my life, it was a blast. They had a '92 Suburban with nearly 400,000 miles on it get submerged in the flood, just waited for it to dry out and checked all the connections. Fired right up.

We had some pretty big hailstones here Sunday night. Pea-sized was reported in this area, and after the worst part of the storm got further east they were reporting up to golf-ball sized there!

gaaah, that second picture of Houston during Allison is the creepiest. I was on a mission trip to Mexico when that hit, but the day of the night that the storm hit Houston we were taking a day off and chillin in South Padre.... the waves were awesome! I kinda wish I had been here to see that though.
