I saw a suburban today at my work that was 47,700 msrp (dvd w/remote, on-star, all power etc.) With the employee discount it came out to 37,700.

Does anyone know how this works for the dealer? Does GM discount the dealers price accordingly to keep the same profit or does it remain the same cost and the dealer just hopes to make money off of the added volume?

I was over at the dealership yesterday and they were acting like the GM price was rock bottom they would go. A little while later they implied there might be some room. I am just trying to figure out how much. Thanks.

GM pricing is rock bottom, the only way you can get more off is if they give you more for your trade and your not upside down in it. There is no dealing room in the price. The only dealing room is if you want the rebate or the special rate, you can't have both.

I did a price search for a 1/2 ton suburban LT and it quoted $35K

Seemed kind of high. Has anybody gotten a better deal on one? Where?

My bro-n-law picked up a 2005 Suburban from Courtesy Chevrolet.
I don't remember what model suburban it was, but it didn't have the leather seats.
The sticker on it was $39,995.00, the salesman let it go for $29,xxx.xx something.
