Default Going price for f-body V6 motor & tranny ?

Thinking about a late model f-body v6 for a project I am working on. What is the going price for a complete engine and transmission ? Any ideas ? Also, does anyone know the approximate dimensions of the motor and tranny ? Not totally sure it will fit.

Thanks

Engine for about 300-600 a T5 for 250-350ish automatic for 600ish (not including shipping if needed). I'm not sure I follow the rest of your question, will a V6 engine/tranny fit where?

Thanks for the info. I was asking about the actual dimensions of the motor so I could measure under the hood and see if it would fit. The car is a '74 MGB and I think it would really fly with one of the later V6's as compared to the 65 hp 4 cylinder it has right now. Just an idea I was kicking around, as trying to shoehorn a V8 would require chopping the car up.

There are 2 automatics (engine + tranny) currently for sale on ebay. Use "3800 camaro engines" any you'll find them. I'm sure one of these guys can give you exact measurments. If you have trouble getting measurements PM what you would like me to measure and I'll happily get you as good a measurement as I can.
