Default HRE Rims

I have a set of 18" HRE Rims on my 98 TA. These rims are beautiful. BUT they are a pain in my *** to clean AND they get scuffed easilly. I'm thinking about selling them and getting something with alittle more sidewall.

I'm trying to get an idea of what they are worth. They cost $1200 each new. 3 of the 4 rims are perfect. 1 (the driverside rear) has a small hunk taken out from hitting a curb. It may or may not be repairable (I'm getting ready to find out soon). Here is a link to what they look like:

My question is, how much do you think I could get for these rims w/ tires?

Tires are BF Goodrich G-Force drag radials. Approximately 50% tread left on rear, 80% on front.

I don't think anybody wants those . I say they are worth $5 but I will give you $20 right now cash money .

$3-4k sounds about right.

Hey thanks for your opinion. By the tone of your e-mail (and from judging the looks of your Z) you sound a tad bit jealous.

You took my post the wrong way man. I was just being funny pal I would love a set of HRE's but I can't afford to pay $1k a wheel.

No jealousy here man the Camaro wasn't built to look pretty. It was built to be fast .

Just to give you an idea. I just saw set with chrome centers for 3k with tires. This set was a 17"/18" package so you have the advantage in my book since yours are 18's all the war around. Others might like the chrome so...

I'm still thinking about it (I haven't decided yet whether I really want to sell or not) The curb rash is pretty bad, but it may still be repairable. I'll let you know when I'm ready to deal.

PS - The tread depth is just an estimate....

Eddie,

What wheels do you have in mind next? It almost seems any thing would be a step down once you have had HREs

Hey dude....

I don't know yet. I like the way Torque Thrusts look. I'm thinking about 17s instead of 18s. I like the HRE wheels, I'm just tired of scuffin them. Maybe if I wasn't such a clutz while driving the thing. I scuffed the front one, but it was repairable. Cost me $75 bucks and looks new. Someone pulled out in front of me at the bank yesterday, and I scuffed there rear one pretty bad. Looks like it took a small hunk out.

My love for these rims is fading fast...

Ah, who fixed it for 75? I saw a 96 or so Trans Am with the torque thursts, had 17s up front and 18s in the back looked real good.
