^^^ Id be inclined to agree with the above. Usually the rusted bodies (not totally rusted) of first gens go for 5-8k from what ive seen. With the reserve not being met yet, and no bids, it does seem a bit high for a start price but i could be wrong.

The price is not bad. Very clean and well done plus an LS1. Classic's have gone up in price. Maybe the "crate" bodies they are coming out with will help. You can build a 69 Camaro with no original parts. Whats the world coming to?

If that car really is an SS (aside from the LS1), its worth every penny of 20K and probably much more...
I doubt the owner will get out of it what he put in though...
Also, his starting bid is too high, he is scaring off bidders...
You guys have no idea of the costs involved in building a conversion car. Its not as simple as slapping in a different engine and calling it a day. I've seen that car in person a few times and it should sell in the $40-50K range no problem to the right buyer.

Wow thats an awesome break down but, you normally dont get out of it what you put in it, which really stinks. Ive been trying to sell a 70 chevelle and man its like its not worth anything, together or apart it seems like!
These pro-touring cars are VERY popular right now, and will probably remain popular. Everyone can appreciate classic cars that can accellerate quickly, stop quickly, and handle well. Some of the cleaner examples of pro-touring cars are selling for $100-150K no problem. Most shops are charging around $100K to build a car like mine.
You can't really compare them to newer car prices. The buyers that pick these cars up are the guys that don't flinch at a $100K pricetag, and buy what they want whenever they want. The good think about buying one that is already built is that you don't have to wait a year or more to have one built.
