Ever consider that there might be something obstructing their view? Maybe the road bends or goes up just before that, because its almost unbelievable that so many people wouldn't be able to avoid that.

The part where the blue mustang gets rearend was funny as ****. The guy in the stang started the wrecks by plowing into the back of the van. Then he gets rearend. Got a taste of his own carnage.

looks like a contruction zone to me, too... Bet ALL of them were doing over the posted speed limit. There was also lots of tire smoke from all the cars locking up too. All of that combined with the driver inattention level that's common today on America's roads, and I can completely see how this happened.
I would just hope that nobody was seriously injured or killed in that.
