Ahh -- drive-in movies.....brings back memories.

It used to be you could find a drive-in anywhere (even in small towns). I always hated that they died out so quickly. This will be a great addition to Houston!

there is one on 36 or 84 between bryan and temple cant remeber exactly were.

but some now use a low FM frequency so you just tune your car radio into it and you get to listen to it through your radio. so if you have a nice system then it sounds really good.

showboat will use FM frequency broadcasting. It's the easiest and most economical way to do it nowadays.

I'm good friends with that entire family setting that up. Johnny is a drive-in theatre NUT.

It is still under construction, septic system is currently being put into the ground, the concession stand/projector room/office building needs to be finished and there is still some more dirt work to be done.

They are still shooting for a grand opening in October.

There is one somewhere between Lubbock and Houston as well, I can't remember exactly where though. lol

I remember the last drive in movie I went to was the Addams Family Movie in the late 80's early 90's right before the one in Houston closed.
