Tint Laws in Texas?????

Tint Laws in Texas????? Ok guys, Im moving to San Antonio from San Diego At the end of the month and was wondering what the law for tint is. Is limo ok. I got a ticket here for my limo and had to remove it. I want to retint and was wondering how dark i should go. Thanks.

For inspection...side windows must have 20%+ and on the windshield you can have it no lower than the AS-1 line, or if there is no AS-1 line it must be no more than 5" from the top of the windshield. Everything else is unlimited.
So far as the law goes...best we can tell the limit is 25%

Texas is a B#@#H when it comes to tint. Can't get the car inspected unless you know some bootleg place and also the cops in some parts are gonna hunt you down. I got pulled over by a cop and he came up to my car with a tint meter in hand and I got a $250.00 ticket for it.

I got pulled over on a labor day weekend one time back when I had my car (no not F-body but a four door sport sedan is all I'm saying) and the trooper comes up to me and says he stopped me because my tint looked too dark and he was going to check it so I started smiling and said "ok go for it" so he goes back to his Jeep comes back w/ his meter and explains the process, what is legal and whatnot, and proceeds to check my pass. side front window. And to my surprize we are both shocked..35% (I though I had 20%) He for sure thought it was limo and proceeded to apologize for pulling me over and then went to telling me about his daughter who had her truck windows tinted and was at a club in Houston and backed into someone because she couldn't see and all this BS and I told him I had it tinted to look dark 5% on the back pass. windows and back windsheild and the front was legal and that's why I was smilling the whole time. I think thats the only time I've been pulled over and not given a green stamp...
