I heard about this at 5am. I thought they were talking about Florida or something, till they showed Galveston.
She was only waist deep and it kept bumping her. Really sucks to hear.

We were down there (Crystal Beach) for a week in June. Calm, clear waters, lots of beach fishing going on. The only things I saw people catching were shark. That's it.

I don't think a shark would be able to find your brown legs in the brown water... you should consider yourself lucky.

I cought 2 small sharks this year on East Beach. I`d walk out there, cast and walk back to shore. I`d say I cought them in waist deep water. A lady fishing down from us cought a small one in knee deep water. Sharks are thick out there this year.

I caught a 7ft black tip shark out of galveston about 10 miles off shore on a 21 ft boat...It took 3 of us to get him in the boat, not to mention an hours worth of fighting...

everytime you are in the Gulf of Mexico, you are 100 ft. away from a shark on average.

For the girls: Don't get in the water if you're on your period. Sharks are very attracted to even the most smallest amount of blood.

Fisherman: One of sharks favorite food is trout. Don't keep a stringer of trout by you while wade fishing.

And you think sharks are bad, my bro and I saw THOUSANDS of stingrays in Galveston while surfing by the Flagship.
