You cant compare the Communist Repvblik of Kaliforniastan to Texas, were free here, and the state isnt full of anti-gun, anti-car, tree hugging, gay, liberal hippies.

But it is hot here, and on top of that, pretty humid in a lot of parts, so get ready for heat.

Smog stuff isn't much of an issue depending on where you live. Pay is decent as long as you stick closer to larger cities and a degree always helps a little more. It's just like working anywhere else in the country I would guess. There are a lot of trucks but I bet if you give fuel prices a while you will see their numbers begin to drop. Lots of fast *** f-bods too and some pretty damm hot women; ladies pitch in here.

The pay may look lower, but the cost of living here is also quite a bit lower than Cali.

yeah but that high 90s may seem the same as the 106-110 temp in cali with the continuous high humiditiy. But it doesn't bother me in the least. I love texas and don't plan leaving it ever.

Climate depends on location, don't let the map deceive you on size, Texas is huge with just about every climate except snow capped mountains. Lubbock gets a lot of snow for this area, but places like Houston only see it once every 10 years or more if that. The bigger city areas like DFW and Houston would prob be the best bet for job searching. There is a ton of Hill country between Abilene, Austin, and San Antonio where there are huge lakes, nice rivers to go "toobin" down or just siteseeing. I could go on, but I'm sure you could find the same stuff on a few of the TX state websites too.
