Horsepower wins races. Torque doesn't. If you want to win a race, you need horsepower.

Im stumped again. I was reading some old posts about cams. I know what they do but what does it mean with the numbers like 235/235 or whatever that is?

235/235 refers to the number of degrees in crankshaft rotation that the cam will hold the intake valve open.

You've actually asked a rather involved question.

Because these are 4 cycle engines, they only fire every other time the piston comes to TDC (Top Dead Center). That means there are 720 degrees of rotation for one cycle. That cam will hold in the intake valve open for 235 of the 720 degrees of rotation.

Man I wish this were true LOL! No problem anytime you have a question I try to phrase it for the everyday person to get an understanding of what us guys are talking about. Ben (Kingcrapbox) know alot also and he is wanting to see that picture real bad LOL!
