Inspection time... Hey guys, I have a 2002 Camaro SS with long tubes, no cats, no AIR and a check engine light (because of the AIR system)
The car is mint (8k miles) and runs clean – Please PM me if have any information that could be helpful in getting a sticker for my car (Harris County).

You will need the codes cleared. It won't pass otherwise. Also, "IF" they do a visual for the cats, your screwed.
I run LT's and catback, just put my cats on for inspection.

Even if you get the codes cleared the computer will read "Not Ready." You will have to drive the car enough for the computer to measure your emissions to make sure everything is running within their peramiters. If whats causing your light to come on isn't fixed, it should come back on. However, if you're talking about geting something to cover it up through a tuner that should be ok, but you still probably need to drive the car 3 full drive cycles before getting it inspected so you don't fail for too many "Not ready" codes.

I have a feeling my car wont pass the visual… And I can’t drive it enough to completely clear the code. The car only gets 20 miles per month max.

im not sure if this would help .... but i had some of the problems u do and on top of that my tint its way 2 dark to pass 
so i called the guy that install the window tint on hillcroft between westheimer and richmond his name is kovid, he told me 2 go 2 this gass station on westheimer and hillcroft i think is right in front of tweeter. Tell the guy kovid sent u just dont forget to slip in $10 for him and not the cashier ofcourse this is in harris county only

as long as u get somebody to tune the code out for you, you should be fine. there are plenty of shops that aren't gonna do the visual check on an OBDII and just see if it has any codes. i'd call up the local shops like MTI, HPE, etc. and see about getting the AIR code deleted, 'cuz there's a good chance they'll do it for either free or next to nothing. i'd do it if u had an OBDI LT1 but u don't.
