Besides, i know what your truck runs, i would get f'd up either way

I know that you guys don't know me since I am on the corvette forums all the time, but, I'll be there as well. I can't take the vette since Discount Tire decided to chew up one of my tires and the replacement won't be here until Sat or next week. I will be in the wifes' 350, though.

I was there and seen a couple of f-bodies but dont know anyone from there. I saw a nice gold trans am with black rims (couldnt tell what they were cause he was rolling around) also saw a gold z28 with drag wheels (looked mean as hell) and saw a white ss with drag lights looked damn good as well but didnt get to bring my car . I was just going to say that vernon would have been alot better if there were more f-bodies and less rain this year!

The rain killed it this year. There was a decent turn out at the track, but not like it wouldv'e been with better conditions. I was also surprised at the lack of late model F-Bodies this year.

GoldLS1- Does your car happen to be John's old car?

Y2KforgedSS- I saw the white SS with draglites at the track. I think you are talking about Jeff's car (local guy). He's put a lot of time and money into that car. If I could only talk him into switching to a TH400 tranny instead of the 6-speed he has, haha. With the 3-speed auto, it would be a consistent low 6sec. car in the 1/8th mile.

I thought it was you Zac, how have you been? Done anything new to the car lately? I have seen you around town, and the car sounds good.

It would be great to see that SS go to a TH400. I don't think I saw it make a clean pass (read - not missing a gear) all night at the track, haha. Jeff won a couple of races, but from the one's I saw, none of them were pretty.

Gotcha, I didn't go to Vernon because of the weather, but we went to the track about 8:30pm and it was dry until about 2am, then the rain came down pretty hard.

I am still kicking myself for selling my car, especailly since I built the whole thing around the idea of spraying the hell out of it (was going to do 350+ with a progressive controller), but never got around to doing so before I sold it. I have thought about asking him if he would sell it back to me, but I doubt he would. It is one of the best sound F-bodies I have ever heard, but it's a little too loud for the street ( I got stopped at least once a week from the day I finished it until the day I sold it).
Oh well, I guess I'll just build something else one of these days, haha

NX Jeremy, Gold LS1, I am way ahead of you. Got the th-400 mounted already. I just have to get everything else mounted and get a new driveshaft. No problem though. Should have it running by next week. Mabey this weekend.
I did beat that oakie by a few busses. I seem to be able to woop up on the street, but the track is a different story. Nothing the 400 won't be able to fix.

Glad to hear it Jeff. You are going to love the TH400, I definately did. Did you go with a rev. manual valvebody and/or t-brake? Let us know as soon as you get some new times with the TH400.

It has rev. manual and t-brake with a 3800 ssf tci stall. I just hope it works well with my setup.

What rear gear and tire size are you running? I had 28" tall tires, 3.73 gear, and 3600 B&M Nitrous Holeshot converter. The only thing I had to watch out for was trying to keep the rpm's above the stall speed of the converter, but it wasn't bad driving around town. It sucked on the highway though, at 70mph it was up around 4500rpm which was really loud in that car, haha.
