Wow everyone was right you are a dick.

The blocks are worth around 600 give or take. Ls1 cranks around 150. The fly cuts pistons make it valued a little lower but still an assembled well taken care of shortblokc should take at least 1200.

You can find complete ls1 for that much yes the ls6 block makes it worth more though.

1200 might be on the higher side but either way it's still worth a hell of alot more than 400 bucks

Put it on ebay you'll get more for it.

Why would the LS6 block make it worth more? Doesnt do a **** of difference for power or durability. I say $800.

The blocks are different.

Ok. They are based on the same architecture. Both motors are funned up at St. Catherines. The LS1 block is a semi-perm mold whereas the LS6 is sand cast. Both of which are cast in different factories. The LS1 is easily identifiable by a large hole above the rear main which is for crankcase ventilation. The LS6 does not have this. The LS6 has a more intricate PCV system inside the block. LS6 has higher redline than the LS1. That and the LS6 block is alot darker in color than the LS1. LS6 is an all around better built, stronger block.
