Default Defensive driving video

Anyone here rented the defensive driving video instead of taking the course? How exactly does it work? Is there a test at the end? How do you take it?

Thanks!

Yup, I did it. You kinda need to watch it close. The tape will tell you to stop and call this number xxx-xxxx. You will then be asked a random question about the section of video you just watched. Not necessarily pretaining to defensive driving i.e. I was asked what the color the ball was the kid was playing with that went into the street. You still end up blowing a day. I would say go some where get a lunch and socialize with a few fellow law breakers!

DONT DO IT. I did it and it was hell. On mine you had to stop every 30 min of the 6 hour course and take an online quiz.

Yeah it sucks even over the internet as well. You would be better off just getting a traffic ticket lawyer instead next time. Go take a class at some place , who knows you might have some gals in there.

I had one instructor(2 day course) that would let us go early, like 10 min after starting. After asking us, we all said we had seen the video before. He would get off early and so would we.

Thanks for the heads-up guys. Guess I'll be taking the class. I've sat through it before, just curious if there was an easier way out. I'm not too crazy about wasting 3 hours of my evening two days in a row (especially since school starts Wed and I'm taking 18 hrs) but what can you do? Better get it over with before I get really busy...

i think its hard to find someone that will let you out early, bc if someone finds out they will get in some ****, i had to take a few classes and an online one, they all suck either way, do a 1 day one (6hrs) and get it over with,

I have done about every option there is. I doubt you will ever find a teacher to let you out early, because if they are caught they lose their job. They even say if you get let out early you can report them and get paid reward money for turning them in. I have taken the blockbuster take home tests a couple times. They are boring, but you have to pay attention to pass. The comedy classes are lame too, they "try" to be funny, but it is still lame. I haven't found one yet I like. The only cool thing is the blockbuster movies have alot of 87-93 mustangs in them that they crash through out the video.

Look around, I'm pretty sure there are comedy defensive driving courses. I've never taken one but I'm sure it's better than the others.

Im sure i wont find a teacher to do it again. It is possible however. If the teacher was changing jobs fields he might do it. I never knew the reasons behind my teacher letting us out early. I am sure he checked us out before letting us go , and could all tell we were law breakers. I dont think they had the policy of getting reward money to turn them in at the time i took this class. Even so that would be screwed up for turning in somebody that just saved you hours of your time.

I did the Blockbuster one... twice now... same thing... sucked. Took the online questions and that went with the vids. Only real reason I did it the second time was just so I didn’t have to sign up & wait to get into a class and then have to get up early on a Sat. morning to go to the class.

The comedy ones aren't bad, but you still lose your weekend... I liked taking it online at http://www.idrivesafely.com and spreading it out over a week or two on lunch breaks, while watching tv, etc

hated the video- did the course online about 6 months ago- it was pretty boring, but at least you can just minimize it and let the time run down so you can take the quiz...
