Default If you want to make a direct impact(Orleans)

Here locally in DFW and across the entire South, there are hotels and motels flooded with refuges. This is something we hear on the radio and TV all day long. Until this evening I didnt think so much of it. My sister and I were talking and a lady she works with said that her church is using the South Fork Hotel in Plano for Wed. service. Anyways......... It seems there are about 50 people up there that the hotel is letting stay for gratis. Yet again not only there, but MOST hotels and motels in our major metro areas. We decided to try and do something for them tonight. The hotel gave us a quick run down of what the families needed, IE toiletries, clothes, baby supplies, canned food, you know. We stopped by Walmart and filled a few carts with what we could afford to buy and I met up with a few friends and grabbed money to get a bunch of drinks and 50 burgers from McDonalds. These people at the hotel are for the most part stranded there, the same as the people at Reunion arena and the astrodome. Please dont forget them, as we were the only ones that have offered any help as of yet. The people met us with nothing but tears and endless thanks. It is so easy and so accessable to get in these places. I know these threads are getting overwhelming, I just wanted to share a way people could help and not forget anyone.

God Bless

Yeah, but if everyone does just alittle bit, it makes such a huge difference.
