here you go again, you gonna lock this thread too when someone puts you in your place again, this thread started out fine untill you started talking trash again and you wanna blame phatt/a on why you closed the thread, maybe some of the other mods need to know it's you the "moderator" who is starting all the trouble, get over yourself,UT is not unbeatable, which you'll find out this weekend won't you ,let me guess your reasoning on why they lost is correct but the aggies are "delusional" as you like to put it,i have already pm'd the site admin about your talking smack and when you lose your argument you lock the thread like a spoiled child, bandwaggon boy

hmmm, you PM'd me to complain about Matt, but he didn't single anybody out like you just did. Look, this is football we are talking about. If you can't take the heat, stay out of these threads. Everyone has their favorite teams, no need to take anyone else's comments personally.

play ball!

And Matt, you can't just lock threads because UT gets bagged on

LISTEN UP GUYS

We do not mind if you guys want to talk smack in a fun manner, and make fun of teams and players. Thats fun stuff, no problem there.

BUT

We will not tolerate any personal insults or name calling between members. If someone is ragging on your team, don't about it or get , just talk smack about their team instead. If the name calling and insults/threats start, it will be locked, and some members might get banned.

Now, have fun.

it's anyones game,i jus say it because i'm tired of someone on this board,i unlike some people love my aggies but still will support texas if they are playing another team from out of texas,i hope texas has the success they deserve this year, but why should i say this when i can't get the same in return,i thought the rose bowl was an awesome game,i watched it with a bunch of my UT buddies,i deal with UT people all the time and none of them talk that much trash and they went to the school,i have seen too many bandwaggon people running their mouths now when 2 yrs ago they were diehard OU fans etc...,me supporting my aggies is what i've done since i was 8 yrs old,so if you are a true UT fan congratulations on this season hope you guys live up to the predictions, just don't say after 1 game that A&M is a average team, they lost the first game last year to a team that went on to play in a BCS game, and lost in their bowl game against a team that everyone thinks will be inthe rose bowl instead of texas,it's too early to say what these teams are gonna be like at the end of the season.

UT looked good against a high school team - nothing really can be shown playing an opponent like that...

OU - well...they are just average without a QB now...

ATM - tough loss to Clemson...kinda like losing to UTAH last year...no defense...

The big game to see this weekend will be UT vs OSU...I'm going to have to go with OSU...they're really tough at home...should be a great game nonetheless...

fat put me in my place? Gimme a break! Most of you aggys seem to get your underwear in a knot when facts are brought out about your Franocchio Fraud of a team. We sure wouldn't want facts to cloud the fantasy world you live in now would we. Whats wrong with you guys facing reality? You PM'd Tony to whine about me? Cry me a freaking river! Grow a little thicker skin and check your ego at the door. We don't need little tattle tale cry babies on here. If you can't take the heat then don't post in these threads. Try having some fun with all of this and not taking yourself and atm so seriously. Geez!

One other thing. I don't have anything personal against you or any others who post in here or talk smack regardless of which school or team that you support, or even if you don't like UT. What I DO have a problem with is when people like fat t/a think that since I don't have a diploma on my wall from UT, and therefore in his eyes that makes me not have any right or credibility to cheer for Texas, and then turns to personal insults because he doesn't think that I'm justified in talking smack about his silly aggys. If that doesn't stop immediately he's only going to be cutting his own throat on here. You can count on that. Lets talk our smack but keep the personal attacks out of it. If people are upset about the smack talk then maybe they should just stay out of these threads.

I can assure you that I'm not a band wagon UT fan. I've been a UT fan since I was just able to walk. I'll die loving Texas. I was there through the tough years in the 80's and 90's and will support the Longhorns win or lose.

UT has rightfully reclaimed their spot as a perennial top ten program. Why do you take it so personal that I don't like atm? If you like Texas thats great, but my opinion on atm shouldn't have anything to do with how you feel about UT. I've never liked the atm thing and never will. aggys are just too weird in a lot of ways and I just don't appreciate all of the goofy "traditions" and their hatred and insecurity of everything involving Texas.

atm IS a very average team. There is nothing to support why they're going to have an above average team this year. I'm guaranteeing 6-5 or at best 7-4 for the aggys this year. Mark it down. I think at the end of the year there is going to be a lot of discontent in collie station towards Franocchio.

BTW, the Cotton Bowl game in which the gomers got blown out of last year was NOT a BCS game. The only school from the state to go to a BCS game would be Texas in the Rose Bowl, which they knocked off the Big 10 champion Michigan Wolverines, finished 11-1 and ranked #4 in the final coaches poll. Just curious. Where did atm finish in the final rankings?

One thing a/b matt, he's done to much researching to be a bandwagon jumper, he has too much love for his team, just like alot of us Aggies.
As well alot of us Aggies have passion for our team and have stuck there in the good and the bad.

You can't make everyone see the same as you, thats just not possible, look at the dems v. repubs in D.C. But you can tolerate who the person is and respect their opinion. something that should of been done on both sides from the beginning of these threads.

As for "goofy" traditions, there are alot of great traditions here at A&M. Alot of them still keep the school spirit alive. Theres probably some traditions at ut that people make fun of, and if you were to ridicule them about those, they would get up in arms about them. Alot of them have an honoring fact about them and tie in with military service and honoring the men and women that have died for this country. I sit here tonight, wait for silver taps to go down, first one i've ever been too, honoring fallen aggies that passed during the summer. If ut had something along those lines, and we were to bag on that, i garauntee you someone would get some heat a/b that.

atm IS a very average team. There is nothing to support why they're going to have an above average team this year. I'm guaranteeing 6-5 or at best 7-4 for the aggys this year. Mark it down. I think at the end of the year there is going to be a lot of discontent in collie station towards Franocchio.
Ou had alot of things to support there #7 spot until they lost on saturday.
Things change, who knows, Notre Dame might go undefeated this year and challenge in the B/CS polls. Same with A&M they were touted as this years Auburn. And losing in Clemson, by 1 point, is still a loss. But an acceptable loss, the point spread on that game was 1.5 points, and it was in clemson. Theres alot of things you can come to in that game, but theres 10 games left. we'll be seeing you in november.

The Cotton Bowl is being looked at as an additional B/CS game.
Tenesee was a hard team. as you saw, and you beat Michigan with a fieldgoal. both teams were very evenly matched.

good luck, theres alot of hurdles to jump, but we have alot of hurdles as well.

Jon, aggies have died defending this country as have Longhorns. What most aggies want to believe is that they've single handedly won all of this country's wars, lol (I'm exaggerating here, don't get all bent out of shape) and if it weren't for them we wouldn't have won those wars.

Fact is, there are many Longhorns who have died in service to this country as well. DKR Memorial stadium pays tribute to those who have given their lives in service of America in WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korean War, etc.

For the most part the atm corps is an ROTC frat. If I'm not mistaken, less than 10% of the guys in the corps ever move on to the US armed services. Thats pretty silly IMO that these guys essentially are just dress up toy soldiers and are about as goofy as the come. Like it or not, with all of the bad publicity the corps has gotten over the years with the hazing and mistreatment of their members, that could be a dying tradition over the long haul at atm. Don't laugh, it could seriously happen. With atm wanting to become a more diverse and mainstream university, the corps could be in trouble long-term.

We'll see how good TU really is this weekend against OSU in the shoe

Actually play a real opponent and win in their place and then start running your mouth. Don't start talking **** after a victory over U LA LA

Yea, every university has had its contributions to every war of the modern age.
I thought A&M has single handedly won every war, they used mothra against the taliban. nah, there are some extreme fans out there for every team, and they gladly will lay there life down for that team. A&M is proud to have some of those fans.....but you get that in every sport....i.e. the Clevland Browns "Dog Pound"

The Corps has its pluses and minues, its a great leadership school, but the hazing has a great part in it, over the years the corps has become softer, and you can notice that by alot of their recruits, having some extra baggage. The corps has had a bad rap in a lot of things, but it is still the shining star that A&M likes to present and they consider the corps the organization that carries/represents the spirit of aggieland. I do have alot of respect for the Cadets, going to school full-time as well having some upper classmen pushing and hassling you all the time, is quite an ordeal. There is a considerable change from freshman to graduate in that time.

wow, wtf is wrong w/ you. seriously. nobody thinks we are the ****, we just have a bad *** team. The point behind playing U la la is to see the team in action and get some of the players some PT.... nobody has praised UT for beating the **** out of u la la.

The majority of your posts and comments have been childish and not well thought out.

You are right, we will see what happens in the shoe, but I still feel we are coming out on top.

it's called logic, tcu was a top 10 team 2 years ago, oohlala was never anywhere near them,i'm glad texas chose to play ohio state instead of playing the first 5 games of the season against cream puffs like years past, man up play a team that has a chance is what i say,i remember a&m used to start the season playing florida state while texas has started against oohlala every year, but hey who could resist rooting for a team with that schedule ,but hey you have it under control so i will watch something else this weekend, yeah right once again good luck texas fans
