right now TSA is hiring out at the airport, about 15 bucks an hour to start with full benefits. let me know if you're interested, i can hook you up with the HR dept. my mom is one of the screening managers(1 of 10, out of 2k ppl working there), but no hookups since its a federal job.

We were/are hiring like mad here at a Verizon DSL call center...there is also a location in Grapevine. They hired literally hundreds to fill positions...pm if interested or for details.
