Default Quit My Job....

Well, I finally got fed up and quit the job over at Pct. 8. No more toll road patrol for me and if I ever see the inside of a police car again it will probably be too soon.

I decided to join my wife and son in San Antonio and moved all the rest of my junk over here last friday. Thanks to all those south siders who welcomed me to the GTG's. I enjoyed it.

Be safe and drive slow!!!

Go get your CHL now. I know that LEO and Judges get it for $25(state fee) versus $140, but im not sure about retired LEO. You never know when you might run into someone you put behind bars.

Sorry to hear that man, you have to do whats best and what makes you happy though.

Hope to still see you here on LS1TECH, and maybe catch you out there in San Antonio. I sometimes visit there as well as some others here on LS1TECH.

Peace,
Craig.

Thanks ya'll....I don't know exactly what I'm going to do yet but I'll find something. LE just wasn't making me happy anymore. Definately have to get the CHL, it feels kinda weird not to have a badge in my wallet anymore but I think I'll get over it.

I went to a SA get together tonight with the wife and my son and we had a blast. I felt very welcome.

Toll road patrol, in Houston?? Would that be Beltway 8, or one of the other ones?

I knew a retired police chief for a while and he said basically that it feels wierd for a long time not having a badge - I think it's proportional to the number of years you did have one till it feels "normal" to not have one.

As a "civillian" I just want to say thanks for the time you did put in.

Good luck in the next career.

Oh, and I hear FEMA might be looking for help soon - got any disaster management skills?

I don't go through Houston very often, but I almost always use Beltway 8 when I do, and the past few times I've seen a cop car sitting out there... another half-dozen cars always parked at the toll road HQ, but only seen one out on the road each time I've gone through there... wonder if that was him
