Friend of mine knows Jim Hall (Designed the Chapparal (sp) race cars). My brother knows lots of actors/actresses (he's an actor) right now he's doing a play with the voice of Homer Simpson. Teacher of mine is family friends of the president. There are more i'm sure just cant think of them right now.

For a couple of years I was a writer for NBC, contributing material to the Tonight Show during the first two years Leno had the show and doing audience warm up before the actual taping, met all kinds of people from Mel Gibson to Demi Moore to Martin Sheen...etc, After my contract ended, I went back to touring comedy clubs and started a production company that specialized in producing celebrity comedians in concert, worked with everyone from Carlin to Foxworthy, still friends with some.
What I learned from twenty years in the business is this:
Primadonnas don't last, nice people do. Some of the biggest ******** are long gone, (Hello Shannon Doherty???)
The business isn't about talent, never has been, its about marketing and management, who you know and how much money you can make them. Talent only opens the door a little bit, business skills get you through it.
Family connections get you work, talent doesn't. (Pauly Shore would be selling shoes in Newark if his mom didn't own a club)
I got lucky, after a really bad car accident, I moved back to Texas and started my life over again and couldn't be happier. I never had the levels of fame or celebrity that many try to get and I'm glad. It's a shitty business to make a living in.

I went to a Gipsy Kings concert years ago with this girl who jumped on stage and kissed them all while they were playing. After the show they invited us backstage, and wanted to take my friend with them in their limo to their hotel. I am not shitting you guys. Does that qualify?
Oh, also... my high school principal's father was Ted Kennedy, who used to play hockey in the NHL and was long time captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was in the NHL for 14 years between 1943-1957.

Paul Wall - knew from school
Evander Holyfield - met and watched spar in DT before Tyson fight thru a friend who's grown up with him
Marvin Zindler - friends grandfather
There's a few others but it's more of a friend of a friend thing instead of relation of some sort.
Those are a few big name people who I've had ties to of some sort. I can't think of anyone from my family that most people would consider famous...
