Ya I hope not ........ But if you are going say 40mph and punch it it would not make any differnce what gear was in there because the whole rear is under load so no hammer effect like what you get from a dig .

well me ill let yall know my gears are going to either 3.42s or 3.73 and a big stall so i can run with the 6sp guys at a 40 punch !!!!! Then i will pill it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd do gears then nitrous which is what i'm doing .. You can grenade your rear with any size gear in it and nitrous will help speed up that process with the additional power..
Like I said in the other thread ask me sat about the nite and day difference
A dry kit you can find for about $300 bucks...Im not sure where the 1200 comes in to play Brian.

For $400 you can get a dry/wet kit usually with a window switch and have plenty of fun.

Just so you know...I ran all my times on stock 3.23 gears. It was a beast on the bottle and on motor against those 6 speed cars. The longer your converter can mulipy torque over a period of time in a sweet spot the further out ahead of those 6 speed cars you will be.
