Unhappy Need some help people?

What would you do? Gears or nitrous first?

Any info would be great.

Thanks
Chad

Has stock gears and a m6. Want 4.10's just trying to decide what would give me the best bang for the buck right now.

Stock rear? What size gears? How big of a nitrous shot? Wet or dry? Why not both?

I would do gears...like some 4.10's, but nitrous would be good too. Kinda depends on what direction you're trying to go with your car.

With 4.10's, you're asking to grenade your rear. Any hard launches on that, especially with sticky tires, bye-bye rear.

I'd go nitrous. When you can afford a new rear, slap some 4.10's in your stocker to see if you want them when you order the new rear. That way you don't have to worry about it.

That's just the way I think about things anyway. Your mileage may vary.

I don't plan on any hard launches for now.

bang for the buck ... Gears $400 Nitrous $1200+
I'd do gears then nitrous which is what i'm doing .. You can grenade your rear with any size gear in it and nitrous will help speed up that process with the additional power..
Like I said in the other thread ask me sat about the nite and day difference

Is it really a huge difference?? I've been trying to decide what to do to my car next...gears was a thought, but I don't ever hear how much difference it makes.

You're much less likely to grenade your rear if you're hitting the nitrous while already moving. It's true you can grenade your rear with any size gear and a hard enough launch, but you're just asking for it with 4.10's.

Don't waste yoru money on putting gears on a 10 bolt.
Go with the notrous (You can do a nice set up for about 600 bucks)
Later on, you can do a 12 bolt.

Yes ask anyone who has 4.10 gears the are a huge differance

I put them in my 10 bolt to see if I like them for when I do get a stronger rear end .. and i'm never going to run another size again....

right but if you are already moving it does'nt matter what gear is in there because the drive train is already under load ..

I guess you just have to decide on whether you are going to drag race or roll race .......

However, you're launching harder on 4.10's than you are on 3.42's. It's not like he'll be hitting the nitrous out of the hole, atleast I'd hope not.
