Almost 5am - just woke up, gotta cold beer, a shot gun, all utilities, and nothing better to do. I'm 5 blocks off the intersection of Beamer and Beltway 8.

I'm bored.

*yawn* well that was exciting. i passed out drunk last night about 11:30. the most exciting part was that i woke up with a crippling headache when the power started flickering on and off. my wind meter shows that jack **** happened. i was throwing cigarette butts on my back porch because i took my ashtray missle inside. there are still a bunch of cigarette butts out there.

oh yeah...i live spring cypress 1.5 miles off 249

40MPH winds, barely a drizzle, and I'm gonna have to water my grass tomorrow

The power flickered on and off many times last night, several brownouts, but no power loss for more than a few seconds. It did blow up my A/C unit, but a quick fix at 4:00am with my trusty soldering iron and we're back in business

any of you guys that are out of town, either come back NOW if you have gas, or wait several days until the mass hysteria trying to get back to town is over.

None yet. They showed one station on 45 that got a gas shipment, but there's a mile or so line to get in. So, that won't last long.

From what I've heard, the Houston evacuees were welcomed in the Dallas area by at least two groups; gas station owners and motels/hotels.

In fact I'm aware of several gas stations that raised their prices from $2.68 to $2.99 in their honor. I expect the price to drop back after they return to H-town.

We're fine here in South Houston. We still have power here at our shop. It went off and back on all night long. Our building next door doesn't have power. 2 of our 3 transformers have blown. We have plenty of food and water for several days. We don't have power at our home in Pearland.

It did get pretty nasty here around 2:30 - 3ish

Glad everyone is safe.

The storm was nothing big at all here on the westside. No power loss, barely any rain.

I guess I have enough water, gatorade, and granola bars for the rest of my life

That was officially the worst hurricane ever. And to think that was the largest evacuation in the history of the United States.....
