Default HELP!! LS6 Intake

okay, I'm having a problem pulling the stock intake off my 98. For some reason, it seems to be catching something on the back. I have reread all the steps on ls1howto, and I've double checked everything. There seems to be something else bolted in the back not letting it come further out. The front will lift up, but the back seem to be catching something. All 10 bolts are out, and the back 4 are pulled up.

I know about the whole oil line breaking etc...but I haven't got that far yet, It wont even come forward at all.

I'm getting really frustrated, I can't think of anything right now

Please help ASAP

The vacuum lines on the back can be pretty stubborn sometimes...just a thought..

It's not the oil "line" that breaks, it's the oil pressure sending unit. It's basically sandwiched between the intake and a vacuum line running into the back of the intake. The place where the vacuum line plugs in is an "L" shaped nozzle coming off the rear of the intake hooking towards the driver side.

That's why it's so easy to snap that oil sending unit when removing the intake, it gets snagged by either the nozzle or the vacuum line.

what they said and when you pull it out pick up on the back of the intake at the same time otherwise the bolts in the back will snag

ok guys, I've removed the intake

Just needed a little shake to it, and it slid right out. I hate when its just something really small causing a big frustration. Anyways, I'm putting the LS6 on tomorrow, because its dark outside and I have no light. Plus I'm gonna clean everything out.

Thanks for the help guys!
