Default Need Help!!!

okay, I bought a New LS6 intake from a guy off the boards. Just installed it, and when I got to putting on the TB bracket that bolts into the side of the intake manifold, I noticed there are no threads to put the bolts in. The bracket is holded by two bolts, but I have no way to put them in now. The Dealership doesn't provide these inserts either. Just the bolts, intake, and TB plate.

What should I do?? I got this far, and now I'm stuck with this...

Help me guys!

There should be some holes on the other side where you can put some nuts to hold the bracket on.

there is no holes to the other side....There is supposed to be threads in there...the same brass type threads on the stock Intake of mine. I'm getting really frustrated and pissed at the guy that I bought it from.

What should I do now? Start getting creative?

try threading a bolt into your old threads and popping em out, if you're saying the new LS6 lung is missing them then they had to have been removed somehow right? Unless they are straight up broken off... I've never looked at it closely but it's possible they the thread set could pop out. If that's the case, then transfering them from LS1 to LS6 shouldn't take long. Just use some clamps and pull straight out as to reduce the chance of damaging the threads

you got a dremel? If you don't care about your LS1 intake, you could forcibly remove them

I have seen them without threads in them. The fast intakes are like that. They don't have any threads in the holes, you have to put a nut on the backside to hold in the bolts. This may be some type of aftermarket LS6 intake. Is this one of the SLP brands??? or do you know?

go pump some iron for a week and try again... Did you flirt with the idea of grinding them out? I would still try a big *** set of channel locks on the bolt but like I said, if you don't care about the intake hack into it.

I'm sure its a LS6 because the bottom is Flat. I just put some Gorrilla lock stuff in there with the bolts, and now its fixed. Kinda cheap in my opinion, but I had no choice. It's sturdy and holding just fine.
